Merry Christmas! (2014)

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year”!
While sipping on some Dale Hollow in the glow of the Christmas tree, it is just a little too easy to ponder on all the joys in life, especially when the sweet melodies of Christmas music fill the room…
Drinking through some wine,
In a one horse open sleigh,
Drifting through the woods,
Laughing all the way!
Corks a-popping ring,
Making spirits bright,
What fun it is to drink some wine,
No matter day or night. HEY!
Drinking wine, drinking wine, drinking all the wine,
Oh, what fun it is to sip, we do it all the time. HEY!
Drinking wine, drinking wine, drinking all the wine,
Have a sip, don’t think twice, make some time for wine!
Ah, the classics..
Oh, the glass is quite the mouthful,
But the taste is so delightful,
And the bottle has constant flow,
Feel the glow, feel the glow, feel the glow!
Oh, it doesn’t show signs of stopping,
And we’ve got more corks for popping,
Eyelids are drooping low,
Feel the glow, feel the glow, feel the glow!
When we finally call it a night,
How we hate when mom was right,
More wine in the cellar below!
Feel the glow, feel the glow, feel the glow!
Finally, who can forget that old standby, that takes you back to fireplaces of yore…
Grape juice fermenting like a slow fire,
Peach wine warming you from head to toe.
Yuletide spices, being added to the blend,
And folks ready for the next batches to flow.
Everybody knows, some cheese and a spot of wine,
Help to make the season wonderfully new,
Although it’s been said, many times many ways,
Merry Christmas… from Dale Hollow to you.
As you can tell, we like to joke a bit and have some fun around here. In all seriousness, we do wish everyone a merry Christmas and hope it is a blessed and wonderful time for you and your family and friends. You can follow this link to our first Christmas post for a reminder that although Christmas is many things to many people, it still represents the most important thing for all people.
Cheers, and Merry Christmas!
