Dale Hollow Winery will open for the season the last weekend of April! (Thursday, 26th-Saturday, 28th)
New hours for the spring/summer seasons:
We are planning a “kick off” to the season by having live music the first two Saturdays:
April 28: “Out on a Limb”: band provided description: “It’s a mixture of toe-tapping Bluegrass, Swing and Gospel tunes. We have an upright bass, fiddle, banjo, guitar and mandolin. Lots of harmony singing and some familiar tunes even shy people may find themselves joining in on. (Possibilities include Old Joe Clark, Southern Flavor, I’ll Fly Away, Crying Holy Unto the Lord, Old Home Place, Keep on the Sunny Side, Roll in My Sweet Baby’s Arms to name a few.) Also, we have a wonderful dancer who taps to fiddle tunes and typically engages the crowd, often having willing members of the audience join her in a waltz or swing tune. We’ve dubbed her as our “Joy Bringer.” We say bring on the joy!
May 5: Singer/Songwriter David Knopf. David plays wineries and other venues in the KC area and plays an assortment of tunes. This is also Cinco De Mayo/Kentucky Derby, so we hope to have other themes and activities going on that day!
As always, we will have cheese, meat, and crackers available, and you are welcome to bring food. Please remember- no outside alcoholic beverages are permitted. There’s plenty of new Dale Hollow wine to enjoy!
In addition to the live music for opening weekend, we will also be planting more grapevines.. Planting and opening, you could almost call it a “Plopening Party”! So come over to Dale Hollow Winery to sample some of the new wines, listen to some music, and see firsthand how much fun it is to plant grapevines!
We are excited for another year at the winery and look forward to seeing everyone soon.
